The Roar of the Dragons

Roar of the Dragons Event is over! This guide is no longer applicable to current gameplay, but will remain on the site if the event happens again next year!

Roar of the Dragons is the current event from 5/17/12 to 5/27/12, and involves 10 full Event Quest chapters, in which Dragons will descend and attack randomly as you participate in quest events. There are multiple loot systems involved, and multiple combat systems including basic questing and Boss encounters, and a 'new' method of combat when attacking the Dragons. First, let's cover some terms for this event.

Progress Reward: These rewards are obtained by defeating a certain number of Dragons during the event. Your first reward is obtained after 3 victories, your second after 7 more, and a reward for every 10 victories until you defeat 60 Dragons.
Order Progress: Your order is also competing as a team and will give rewards to every order member with at least 100,000 damage done to Dragons in the event.
Rank Rewards: These rewards will be distributed depending on your rank at the end of the event. You will compete in rank individually and as a team within your order. Rewards can be viewed within the game.
Party: This is the system which allows you to defeat strong Dragons. After you attack a Dragon for the first time, you may call for help from your order or fellows, and any order member or fellow that is not already attacking another Dragon will have a chance to be added to your party, and will be able to attack the Dragon.

To the right is a picture of the Roar of the Dragons top page with the Rewards Panel and Ranking Panel highlighted and labeled. Located within the Rewards panel, you will be able to see your next progress reward and how many dragons you need to defeat to claim the reward. This panel will not show you the progress of your Order in progression rewards. In the Ranking Panel, you can see your own and your order's current ranking, total damage, done, victories etc. For yourself, Damage done is the only factor for your ranking and the only thing really worth keeping track of. For your order, seeing the number of Dragons defeated will let you track how soon your order will unlock another progress reward.

When you encounter a Dragon, or when you are chosen to participate in a party to defeat a Dragon, there will be a flashing banner with the text "A dragon has appeared!!" and below will be a button labeled "Prepare for Battle".

To the right is what you will see when you click on "Prepare for Battle". The first panel contains the Dragon info. You will have 2 hours after finding the Dragon to defeat it, and Dragons grow more powerful every time you defeat one. This is, I believe, the final Dragon, with 1 million health!
The panel below this contains your Deck info and options. Keep in mind that ATK PWR is used differently in this event than normal, and cards cost lest to use, so you can use more powerful Decks if you have them. Card skills cannot be used on the Dragon with the exception of very few special "Event Skill" abilities. Below this panel is the actual ATK PWR formula, 5+(DeckPWR/2). So, for example, say you have 5 cards that use 10 stamina in your Deck, your formula would like like 5+([10+10+10+10+10]/2), simplified 5+(50/2) or 5+25=30 ATK PWR used.
The last panel is the Party Panel. Here you can see the order/fellow members participating in the battle, and see their progress. Dragons drop a chest of cards when defeated, and the cards are distributed to the Party Members who did the most damage, and in the event of a tie, the person who finished attacking first will be preferred by the loot.

  1. Hey, just found your RoB guide and I'm really enjoying it. Still trying to figure out the ins and outs of enhancing and evolving. Are you still Akzel5 in the game? You're not showing up in my user search.

    Thanks again for the help!

    1. Yea, A K Z E L 5, akzel5, I don't know why I wouldn't show up on the user search unless there are different servers for different countries or regions. Regarding enhancing, if you are enhancing a card for it's attack or defense, just enhance it with whatever you have that you don't want to keep. If you are enhancing it for it's ability or skill, then use cards that have abilities or skills to enhance it until you stop seeing the % chance to increase the skill lvl. I hope that helped a little!

  2. Hey, I found your account - turns out the names are case-sensitive and I was using a capital A - but now I'm getting an error when I try to send you a fellow request. I'm assuming it's because you already have the maximum number of fellows, but I'll keep trying every now and then. :)
